Cape Panwa is just 15 minutes south of Phuket Town. It's a quiet part of the island- one of the last parts to be developed. There are a number of expensive residences stretched along the hills to take in wonderful views of Chalong Bay and Phang Nga Bay.

Make sure to check the hotels also. All of the hotels on Cape Panwa could be called resorts. It's not a very clear distinction.

Sunset can be quite spectacular from most of the little Thai restaurants sprinkled along the top, between the west side and the east side. The Phuket Aquarium is out on Cape Panwa as well and very close.
